Run

Several running figures fill the entire composition, forming an arrangement resembling successive phases of movement. The bodies are partially offset, overlap neighbouring figures and move towards the right side of the painting. They are constructed from bands of intense green, blue, violet, red and yellow that merge with an equally saturated background. Simplified faces and elongated limbs direct attention to the rhythm of the run, while the overlapping figures and bands of colour combine the sequence into a single continuous stream.
