Speedway

Four speedway riders enter a bend, leaning their motorcycles sharply. The riders and massive wheels emerge from a dense network of black contours, paint splashes and fragments of printed paper. Red, yellow, white and blue helmets organise the figures and distinguish them against the grey track. In the upper part of the composition, the crowd breaks into small multicoloured marks. Streaks, splashes and irregular painterly traces evoke shale thrown up by the wheels, connecting the riders' movement with the materiality of the track.
